For the second consecutive year, Finopotamus recognized outstanding achievement in credit union technology via its annual Tekkie Awards. The competition was fierce this year, but Team Finopotamus is confident that the correct winners were chosen. However, with so many great entries, Team Finn knew it had to recognize other nominees with an honorable mention designation.
Here’s a breakdown by category of all nominees that earned an honorable mention:
Artificial Intelligence
MSU Federal Credit Union, for its initiative to deploy an AI-based system from boost.ai that helps to provide assistance to support teams both internally and externally.
Wings Financial Credit Union, for deploying Nuance’s Intelligent Engagement Platform, which combines artificial intelligence (AI) with advanced biometrics, to better the member experience.
Core Integration
OMNI Community Credit Union, for using the Banno Digital Toolkit to create custom solutions integrated to the credit union’s Symitar Episys core.
Lending
Advantis Credit Union, for deploying FIntegrate’s FusionCRS collection and recovery system to increase recoveries and decrease delinquency ratios.
MAC Federal Credit Union, for deploying Jack Henry’s LoanVantage LOS for all underwriting, including expanded services for the credit union’s business members.
People First Federal Credit Union, for deploying HEx from Lenderclose to manage home equity lending, cutting 20 days off processing times and increasing loan volume by 151%.
Visions Federal Credit Union, for deploying CuneXus’ storefront lending platform, thereby generating $5.5 million in new loans the first 30 days after deployment.
Marketing
America’s Credit Union, for using DeepTarget’s DXP target marketing platform to create digital campaigns that consistently exceeded clickthrough rates greater than 9%.
JSC Federal Credit Union, for enhancing the member experience by deploying various online financial tools from Chimney on its website.
Self Service
SafeAmerica Credit Union, for creating a seamless, end-to-end digital member experience using Bankjoy’s digital banking platform, which includes e-statements, online account opening, online loan applications and conversational AI.
Summit Credit Union, for providing a higher level of member service and improving member communications using Engageware’s suite of products.
Y-12 Federal Credit Union, for significantly enhancing member self-service options by upgrading its ATM software and deploying new ITMs from NCR.
Technologist of the Year
Michael Hostetler, Vice President of Marketing, Crane Credit Union, for overhauling the way the credit union communicates with and markets to its 60,000+ members through a partnership with DeepTarget.
Mark Rowan, Chief Technology Officer, Credit Union of Colorado, for increasing member access to credit by leveraging Scienaptic AI’s advanced loan decisioning platform.
