Sibos to Host International Conference in Miami on AI-Driven Economies

Initially a banking operations seminar that gathered FI folks in 1978 in Brussels, Sibos’ annual conference, exhibition and networking event bills itself as the premier business forum for the global financial community. Attendees debate and collaborate on topics such as payments, securities, cash management and trade.
This year’s conference, in partnership with SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication), will take place Sept. 28 to Oct. 1 at the Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC).
International Take on AI
Sibos, previously known as SWIFT International Banking Operations Seminar, is based in La Hulpe, Walloon Brabant, Belgium. The conference regularly attracts more than 7,000 participants from countries around the world.
“Sibos 2026 will reflect the pivotal forces being felt across the industry, as artificial intelligence reshapes every corner of global finance and payments. Our theme for 2026, ‘Digital finance for AI‑driven economies,’ sits at the heart of this mission-critical conversation,” event organizers noted.
“Throughout Sibos week, in an established center for AI-innovation, we will explore how technology, collaboration and forward‑thinking strategies can redefine the financial ecosystem - inspiring new forms of value and changing the way financial institutions operate,” the organizers continued, adding that they are expecting over 500 expert speakers across 250-plus sessions. “With debates led by experts and practitioners from across every corner of the globe, expect bold perspectives, powerful insights and practical pathways for navigating AI’s rapid and growing impact.”
