From startup pitch presentations to happy hours to panel discussions to breakout sessions, the 2025 Reseda Summit, which takes place September 17-18 at the Shinola Hotel in Detroit, is billed as being “designed for networking, learning, and collaborating as you position yourself for success.”

Finopotamus will be on hand and is also among event sponsors, which also include Trellance, Experian and Nymbus, among others. Hosted by the CUSO, Reseda Group, the third annual conference will allow attendees to connect with industry experts and learn about the latest technologies and strategies taking place in the ever-evolving fintech space.

Shaping the Future of Finance

After last year’s Summit, Reseda Group’s Chief Operating Officer Benjamin Maxim said the event was inspirational. “It was amazing to be able to bring a slice of the fintech industry to my hometown of Detroit,” he continued. “It was a perfect mix of networking and previewing upcoming innovations that will shape the future of finance.”

A wholly owned CUSO of Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), the East Lansing, Mich.-based organization was founded in 2021. Maxim said the CUSO has a simple goal: to build better for members. Among the CUSO’s investment products is Ever Green, which was developed to help financial institutions establish better engagement, loyalty, and lifelong relationships with consumers through financial education solutions. Another product is OneClick Financial that turns core data into a “living, breathing member experience.” The CUSO noted that this is achieved by “blending predictive modeling, lifecycle triggers, behavioral signals, and individual preferences into hyper-personalized” messaging for members.

At the Reseda Summit, tech products and bleeding edge strategies like the aforementioned are discussed and acted upon. Last year’s keynote speaker, Henry Vaage Iversen, co-founder and CCO of boost.ai, reflected on the collaborative nature of the event.

“Reseda Summit was truly inspiring, with participants eager to make a meaningful impact on the credit union industry,” Iversen noted. “I have rarely encountered such a warm and engaging group at any event. The venue was superb, fostering easy social interaction; and the event team was incredibly helpful, making the overall experience fantastic.”

Accelerate Progress

Event organizers noted that “fintech isn’t our competition anymore. It’s our ally.” To this end, attendees are encouraged to partner with fintechs that “bring agility, technical expertise, and fresh ideas that complement the values and trust credit unions have built over decades.”

Examples of this type of networking are on display. For example, attendees are privy to forward-leaning discussions between fintech CEOs and credit union board members.

Summit coordinators also encourage credit unions to embrace innovation and noted that presentations and sessions were uniquely “crafted to help credit unions walk away with more than just notes. We want them to leave with actionable strategies, vetted partners, and a clearer vision for the future. We don’t want to just inspire; we want to accelerate progress.”
