Reseda Summit 2025: A Veritable Pitchfest

The Reseda Summit, an annual conference hosted by Reseda Group was held in Detroit, Sept. 17-18. The event format was unique in that it was designed to introduce credit union attendees to a wide range of startups and other fintechs. Finopotamus, an official media partner of the event, was onsite to cover the activities.

 

The Mini Pitch Competition

 

On the first day of the event, a so-called Mini Pitch Competition gave six companies the opportunity to present seven-minute pitches to the audience and a panel of three judges:  Reseda Group COO Ben Maxim, MSU Federal Credit Union Chief Digital Experience officer Ami Iceman Haueter, and Reseda Group Board Chair Gregory Deppong.

The six companies were:

 

  • Goodbuy, represented by CEO Cara Oppenheimer

  • Hive Technologies Inc., represented by CEO Boyd Bishop

  • Instarails, represented by CEO Yamini Sagar

  • KeySavvy, represented by CEO Andrew Crowell

  • Remynt, represented by CEO Gwyneth Borden

  • Savvi AI, represented by CEO Maya Mikhailov

 

The winner of the competition by unanimous decision was Goodbuy. The grand prize was a $20,000 grant from Reseda Group.

 

Day Two Presentations

 

Presenters on the second day were not competing for any prize. These presentations were split into a morning session and an afternoon session.

 

The morning presenters were:

  • CUNextGen, represented by CEO Kent Zimmer

  • Prizeout, represented by Head of Financial Institution Sales Mike Romaszka

  • Tandem, represented by CEO Michelle Winterfield

  • Pocketnest, represented by CEO Jessica Willis

  • Constant, represented by CEO Catherine Powers

 

The afternoon presenters were:

 

  • Debbie, represented by CEO Frida Leibowitz

  • Ranqx, represented by CEO David Lewis

  • RevlTek, represented by COO Tim Kulesha
