Newland’s debut in the Polish market responds directly to rapidly growing demand for modern Android-based payment infrastructure.
Rzeszów. 25th June 2026: Newland Payment Technology (NPT), a global provider of payment terminals and technology solutions, has partnered with Polskie ePłatności (PeP), part of Nexi Group, to deploy the Newland N950K Android payment terminal in Poland. The device will support PeP’s Android terminal strategy by making merchant terminals easier to manage, update and service remotely.
The deployment marks Newland’s first attended payment device launch in the Polish market and the first collaboration between Newland and PeP. PeP is using its own payment application on the N950K, with Newland providing the Android terminal and infrastructure layer that supports the device estate.
Poland is one of Europe’s most developed card payments markets. According to the National Bank of Poland, contactless cards accounted for 97.7% of all payment cards issued in Poland at the end of June 2025, while all POS terminals in the country were adapted for contactless payments. With acceptance already widespread, providers such as PeP are focused on how large terminal estates can be managed, serviced and updated more efficiently.
The partnership combines Newland’s globally recognised technology and innovation with PeP’s local expertise and market reach, giving Polish businesses access to advanced, user-friendly payment solutions.
PeP is deploying the Newland N950K as part of its Android terminal strategy, helping modernise merchant estates that have historically relied on legacy Linux-based devices. While older terminal estates can be more limited when it comes to remote servicing and software updates, Android-based terminals offer simpler management, significantly faster updates and a longer device lifecycle.
Karolina Pająk, POS & Payments Products Development Director at PeP, commented: “We are particularly pleased with the excellent results of this deployment and the positive feedback from our partners, as they confirm that the market is looking for solutions that are fast, intelligent, scalable, and ready to evolve. Our goal is to deliver products that not only strengthen customer service operations but also support business growth and offer a wide range of services.”
For PeP, the introduction of a new portable Android terminal with a physical keypad marks another step in the company’s technological development. The terminal fully embodies the concept of an “all-in-one” solution, going beyond standard payment acceptance and providing business customers with new capabilities to support sales and business growth.
Alan Moss, General Manager, Europe at Newland, added: “This deployment is a key first step for Newland in the Polish payments market. PeP operates in a highly advanced payments environment, where providers need infrastructure that can be managed efficiently and adapted over time. Our role is to provide the Android terminal layer that helps partners service, update and scale their estates more effectively.”
The N950K is a portable Android SmartPOS terminal designed for attended payment environments, including retail, hospitality, convenience stores, supermarkets and cafés. Running on Android 12, it combines a touchscreen and physical keypad with integrated printing, contactless, smart card and magnetic stripe acceptance, camera functionality and connectivity options including 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
For PeP, the deployment strengthens its Android terminal estate while allowing it to retain control of the payment application layer and merchant experience. For Newland, the partnership represents a strategic step in its European expansion – reflecting Newland’s broader role as a payments infrastructure partner, supporting the technology foundations its customers need to manage, update and scale payment estates across demanding local markets. |
