MSU Federal Credit Union Announces Board Elections

EAST LANSING, Mich. — MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) President and CEO April Clobes announced that three individuals have been elected to the MSUFCU Board of Directors for three-year terms.

Elected board members include Bill Beekman and Elizabeth Lawrence. Lynne Zelenski has transitioned from Associate Director to Director. Members of the MSUFCU Board of Directors also include Ernest Betts, Angela Brown, Quinetta Roberson Connally, Gregory Deppong, Steven Kurncz, and Janet Lillie, Vennie Gore and Karin Hanson as Associate Directors, and Michael Hudson as Director Emeritus.


The Board also elected Gregory Deppong as Treasurer and Steven Kurncz as Secretary to serve on the Executive Committee, joining Chair Janet Lillie and Vice Chair Elizabeth Lawrence.


In addition to Board elections, MSUFCU announced several updates across its Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, and its wholly owned credit union service organization, Reseda Group.


BOARD OF DIRECTORS UPDATES

Vennie Gore has transitioned from the MSUFCU Supervisory Committee to serve as Associate Director on the Board of Directors. Gore is Executive Vice President for Administration at Michigan State University, where he oversees multiple departments.

Michael Hudson has transitioned to emeritus status after serving on the Supervisory Committee from 2011-2014 and on the MSUFCU Board of Directors since June 2014. A longtime advocate for accessibility and inclusion, Hudson previously led the MSU Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities for more than 32 years.

SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE

Amy Basel has joined MSUFCU’s Supervisory Committee, transitioning from the Reseda Group Board. Basel serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Revenue Officer at Delta Dental of Michigan, with prior experience at Deloitte, Kraft Foods, and Kemper Insurance.

 

RESEDA GROUP BOARD UPDATES

Cheri Speier-Pero has been named to the Reseda Group Board of Managers. She is the Emeritus Ernst & Young Professor in Accounting and Information Systems at MSU’s Broad College of Business and joined the university in 1997. She previously served on the MSUFCU Supervisory Committee from 2007-2011 and the MSUFCU Board of Directors from 2011-2014.

Ben Louagie has been appointed Associate Manager on the Reseda Group Board. He brings more than 20 years of experience in policy strategy, operations, and innovation commercialization, and currently advises Corewell Health’s Innovations Office while serving as a Health Care Investment Advisor for Michigan Rise.
