Mbanq Technology to Power Modern Banking Infrastructure Across a Network of More Than 40 Credit Unions in Haiti

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti, October 26, 2026 — Mbanq is providing the banking technology and infrastructure behind a major modernization program for a network of more than 40 credit unions in Haiti, working through its client and local technology partner TekNsol.
The program supports Fédération des Caisses Populaires Haïtiennes Le Levier (FECAPH), a national cooperative network that brings together more than 40 credit unions across Haiti.
The project will give participating credit unions access to shared, modern core banking infrastructure and create the foundation for new digital financial services, including mobile banking and payments.
TekNsol is Mbanq’s client for the project and serves as the local technology partner, working with Le Levier and participating credit unions on implementation and coordination. Mbanq provides the core banking technology, system configuration and ongoing technical and operational services.
The first phase provides participating institutions with core banking capabilities including member digital onboarding, current and savings accounts, loan management, transfers between member accounts and check processing.
The platform has been configured for the requirements of cooperative financial institutions, to enable credit unions to benefit from shared banking infrastructure while retaining their individual operations and member relationships.
Future phases are expected to introduce national payments and mobile banking capabilities, followed by international payments and card services.
Vlad Lounegov, CEO of Mbanq, says: “Together with TekNsol, we are creating a technology foundation that can support more than 40 credit unions as they modernize, introduce mobile and digital services and broaden access to financial services across Haiti.
“Credit unions play an important role in providing financial services to people, communities and businesses. Modern banking infrastructure expands what these institutions are able to offer their members and gives them the technology foundation to develop new services. For Mbanq, this is an opportunity to use our technology to make a real and lasting difference.”
The architecture is designed to support the continued development of digital services, including additional payment channels, digital applications and emerging technologies.
Philippe Chancy, Co-Founder and CIO of TekNsol, says: “Credit unions need technology that reflects how they operate and how they serve their members. This project combines modern core banking infrastructure with local implementation and support, to give
participating institutions a stronger foundation for everyday banking and for the introduction of new digital services.
“Working with Mbanq, we can bring modern technology to institutions across the network while providing the local coordination and support needed for a program of this scale.”
Credit unions have a long-established role in Haiti as member-owned financial institutions that serve local communities and businesses. Modernizing infrastructure across a network of more than 40 institutions provides a shared foundation for stronger operations and the continued expansion of digital financial services.
