Madison, WI — December 2, 2025 — IgniteFI, a leading fintech advisory firm dedicated to helping fintechs succeed in the credit union market, today announced a strategic partnership with the CAFE (Center for Accelerating Financial Equity) a non-profit organization with a nationally recognized fintech accelerator program. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in supporting fintechs that align with the values and mission of credit unions.

CAFE provides mentorship, resources, and connections to partners and funders to mission-driven fintechs that have products to improve financial wellness for low-to moderate-income (LMI) people. Its mission dovetails naturally with the credit union ethos—prioritizing member impact, financial wellness, and collaborative innovation.

“IgniteFI has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to helping fintechs speak the language of credit unions,” said Kristen Castell, Managing Director of CAFE. “This partnership expands our ability to equip early and growth stage fintechs with the strategic and practical support they need to succeed in cooperative finance. Together, we’re helping mission-aligned innovators scale their technology solutions and impact.”

IgniteFI brings deep industry expertise and an actionable approach to market readiness, offering services that span strategic development, validation of use cases, and hands-on go-to-market execution. The organization is known for connecting fintech innovators with the right credit union partners, accelerating product-market fit, and helping startups stand out in a competitive landscape.

“Our partnership with CAFE reinforces our shared belief that credit unions deserve fintechs that are both innovative and mission-ready,” said Julie Esser, CEO and Founder of IgniteFI. “This is about more than product development—it’s about building sustainable solutions that improve the financial lives of members.”

Together, CAFE and IgniteFI will co-create opportunities for startups that demonstrate not only technological promise but also a true understanding of cooperative values. The partnership will provide participating fintechs with a seamless pipeline of support—from early validation and pilot testing to scaling and credit union adoption.
