Great Basin Federal Credit Union Partners with Girls on the Run Sierras for February Shoe Drive

RENO, NV – Great Basin Federal Credit Union is proud to partner with Girls on the Run Sierras to support girls in the community through the February 2026 Girls on the Run Sierras Shoe Drive. Throughout February, Great Basin Federal Credit Union will serve as a collection site for new athletic shoes to help ensure every girl can “...recognize their inner strength, increase their level of physical activity, imagine their possibilities, and confidently stand up for themselves and others,” according to the Girls on the Run Sierras website.

“We’re grateful to partner with Girls on the Run Sierras on this important initiative,” said Gerardina Rodriguez, Community Relations Manager at Great Basin Federal Credit Union. “This shoe drive is a simple but powerful way for our community to come together and help girls feel confident, supported, and ready to run toward their goals.”

Community members are invited to donate NEW big kid athletic shoes (sizes 2–6) in one of the following ways:

● Purchase in-store and drop them off at any Great Basin FCU branch.

● Order online and have them shipped directly to Girls on the Run Sierras using the links in @gotrsierras’ bio and note that Great Basin FCU sent you.

Donation boxes will be on display through February 28, 2026, with collection scheduled for the week of March 2, 2026.
