Great Basin Federal Credit Union Partners with Community Foundation of Northern Nevada to Support Wildfire Relief Efforts

RENO, NV – As wildfires continue to impact communities across Northern Nevada, Great Basin Federal Credit Union is partnering with the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada to support individuals, families, animals and first responders affected by this year’s devastating fires.

Throughout the month of September, Great Basin Federal Credit Union will collect monetary donations at all four of its branches in support of the 2026 Northern Nevada Wildfire Relief Fund, established by the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada.

Northern Nevada has been particularly affected by wildfires this year, including the Bug Fire, Stallion Fire and Hawk Fire. These fires have displaced families, impacted homes and property, affected animals, and placed significant demands on first responders, volunteers and community organizations.

“The heart of this campaign is really neighbors helping neighbors. These are communities in our own backyard, and I think this is another opportunity for [us] to show what being Member-Loved. Community Strong. looks like when our neighbors need us,” said Gerardina Rodriguez, Director of Community Relations at Great Basin FCU.

Every contribution, regardless of size, can help provide support to those navigating the immediate and long-term impacts of these fires.
