All CONCRYT payment traffic now runs through its new monitoring tool, with AI supporting anomaly investigation and daily routing decisions
Barcelona, Spain. 8 September 2026: Global payments technology company CONCRYT has deployed agentic AI across its live payment operations, moving the technology beyond a chatbot interface and into the day-to-day monitoring of its gateway.
Over the past eight months, all of CONCRYT’s payment traffic has been processed through its new monitoring tool, covering more than three million transactions. The system continuously monitors payment traffic, financial performance, operational limits and merchant activity, detecting unusual changes and helping the operations team investigate their likely causes.
Around 100 monitoring rules are currently in use, with some checks running as frequently as once per minute. The system also monitors approval rates and, when performance drops unexpectedly, alerts the team and recommends where traffic could be moved. CONCRYT makes these routing adjustments daily to help maximise approval rates.
The operations team has also completed more than 2,000 conversations with the AI assistant through CONCRYT’s admin panel, Slack and Telegram so far this year, covering traffic anomalies, payment performance and individual transactions.
The deployment builds on the large language model (LLM) analytics capabilities CONCRYT introduced to its payment gateway earlier this year. Those tools allow merchants to ask questions about their payment data and receive real-time insights via admin panel and Telegram, while the operational system works continuously in the background, monitoring agreed indicators and carrying out recurring tasks without waiting for a new prompt.
Agentic AI, which can carry out tasks rather than simply answer questions, is gaining ground across financial services. According to the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance’s 2026 Global AI in Financial Services Report, 52% of firms are actively adopting the technology, with fintechs ahead of traditional institutions at 57% versus 45%. Only 23% of respondents have moved beyond piloting to scale it. CONCRYT’s system is already operating across live payment activity.
Andrii Shevchuk, CTO & Co-Partner at CONCRYT, commented: “A payment gateway produces more signals every day than any operations team could realistically monitor by hand. The challenge is identifying the small number that need attention early enough to act.
“By combining continuous monitoring with AI-assisted investigation, our team can move much faster from spotting a change to understanding what is causing it. The system can analyse traffic, identify a drop in approval rates and recommend where volume could be moved, while the final decision remains with our people.”
