Coastal Credit Union’s Creighton Blackwell WinsChapel Hill - Carrboro Award

RALEIGH, N.C. (July 13, 2023) – The Chamber for a Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro has awarded Coastal Credit Union’s Chief Community Impact & Public Affairs Officer Creighton Blackwell with their Business Excellence Award’s Businessperson of the Year.

“I am incredibly humbled by this amazing recognition from such amazing organizations focused on the holistic wellbeing of the businesses and communities we all serve,” said Blackwell. “Thank you to all businesses, leaders and constituents within our communities who are all focused on increasing the positive impacts it takes to improve all of our lives.”

This is the inaugural year for this particular award, given as part of the chamber’s annual Business Excellence Awards, which recognizes exceptional businesses and leaders in the Greater Chapel Hill & Carrboro community. The award was sponsored by the chamber’s board and the Black Business Alliance.
