RALEIGH, N.C. (February 20, 2026) – Coastal Credit Union's headquarters renovation has earned top recognition from both the Triangle Business Journal and the Carolinas AGC, underscoring the project’s impact as a leading commercial redevelopment in the region.

The renovation project, which was completed in early 2025, focused on reimagining Coastal’s corporate headquarters driven by the shift to hybrid work. The result is a state-of-the-art environment designed to foster flexibility, collaboration, and employee well-being.

The project was named a 2026 SPACE Award winner by the Triangle Business Journal, where it received Top Redevelopment honors. The project was recognized during the SPACE Awards ceremony on February 19, recognizing standout commercial real estate deals and developments from the past year. In addition, the project received a 2025 Pinnacle Award from Carolinas AGC, one of the construction industry’s highest honors. It was among a select group of award-winning projects across North and South Carolina, with judging criteria that included project management, unique challenges, budget and schedule performance, and safety.

“These awards reflect the dedication and teamwork behind a project that enhances both the employee experience and the long-term functionality of our headquarters,” said Tyler Grodi, Coastal’s President & CEO. “They are a testament to the shared commitment to excellence demonstrated throughout the renovation process.”

Coastal credits the success of the renovation to strong collaboration among internal teams and external partners, including Barnhill Contracting Company and RATIO Design.
