Coastal Credit Union Foundation Grants More Than $200,000 to North Carolina Nonprofits

RALEIGH, N.C. (August 5, 2026) – The Coastal Credit Union Foundation has awarded more than $200,000 in second-quarter grants to 20 nonprofit organizations, continuing its commitment to strengthening communities across central North Carolina through strategic investments in organizations making a measurable difference in people's lives. The Foundation's second-quarter grantmaking brings total year-to-date funding to more than $500,000, supporting programs focused on food security, financial education, workforce development, housing and community services, and youth and family support.


Among the organizations receiving funding are POWER, Inc. Community, 100 Black Men Triangle East, Endless Sports, A Place at the Table, United Arts Wake County, Artspace, Open Table Ministry, Boys & Girls Clubs, SAGE, Money Box Academy, Community Music School, Dereck Whittenburg Foundation, SouthLight Healthcare, NC Museum of Art Foundation, Leadership Triangle, Kramden Institute, NeighborHealth Center, Velle Cares Foundation, Oak City Cares, and Band Together.


The grants support organizations addressing some of the region's most pressing challenges while creating opportunities for individuals and families to thrive. Through partnerships with local nonprofits, the Foundation continues to invest in programs that expand access to essential resources, strengthen financial well-being, promote workforce readiness, and improve quality of life throughout the communities Coastal Credit Union serves.

Grant Applications Now Open

The Coastal Credit Union Foundation is currently accepting applications for its next round of Community Grants through August 31. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits with an active board of directors and an annual operating budget. Applications typically take about 30 minutes to complete. Applicants must be registered as a Champion for Change and use the password Coastal24 to access the application.
