Coastal Credit Union Foundation and Carolinas Credit Union Foundation Award Scholarship Funds to Sixteen Students

RALEIGH, N.C. (July 17, 2025) – The Coastal Credit Union Foundation, in partnership with Carolinas Credit Union Foundation, is proud to announce sixteen recipients of the Credit Union Scholarship Program, totaling $36,000 awarded in scholarship funds. All scholarships are merit based, with five recognizing students’ volunteerism, and five being larger amounts based on financial needs.

The sixteen scholarship recipients are:

Seren Dornsmith, attending Davidson College

• Payton Glandorf, attending Meredith College

• Victoria Greene, attending University of North Carolina Greensboro

• Morgan Holmes, attending Meredith College

• Clara Jensen, attending Appalachian State University

• Max Langenbach, attending North Carolina State University

• Sebastian LaRoche, attending University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

• Zion McCargo, attending University of North Carolina Wilmington

• Cora Ann McCracken, attending College of William & Mary

• Kevin Nolan, attending North Carolina State University

• Opal Pekks, attending Appalachian State University

• Shiloh Townsend, attending University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

• James Hunter Troskey, attending Clemson University

• Caroline Waller, attending Appalachian State University

• Ava White, attending College of the Holy Cross

• Andi Wicker, attending North Carolina State University

Tuition costs are rising at both public and private universities and colleges. Coastal and its Foundation are committed to helping students financially through the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation Scholarship Fund, which oversees scholarships for several credit unions throughout the Carolinas.
