Troy, Michigan (June 27, 2025) — My First Nest Egg, the award-winning digital financial education platform for children and families, is proud to announce a new partnership with Chief Financial Credit Union—a purpose-driven financial institution serving Michigan communities since 1941. Through this collaboration, Chief Financial is expanding its impact by offering families free access to engaging, interactive financial literacy tools designed for kids ages 3–13.
Rooted in the belief that financial well-being starts early, Chief Financial Credit Union is committed to helping its youngest members build lifelong money habits through education, creativity, and community support. The partnership includes a fully branded, co-hosted version of the My First Nest Egg platform, complete with in-app savings challenges, seasonal activities, and classroom-ready content—making it easier than ever for families to start meaningful money conversations at home and in schools.
“At Chief Financial Credit Union, we believe financial well-being starts early. That's why we're thrilled to partner with My First Nest Egg to give our youngest members engaging, age-appropriate tools that make learning about money fun and meaningful,” said Ashley Chambers, Chief Financial Credit Union’s VP of Business Development. “When we empower children with financial knowledge today, we're building stronger communities tomorrow—and that's exactly what our mission is all about.”
Chief Financial’s partnership with My First Nest Egg aligns with its core values of resilience, spirit, unity, and creativity—bringing those principles to life by helping kids build real-world financial skills. With branded access to the My First Nest Egg app and supporting classroom and parent materials, Chief Financial is enriching lives and investing in a future where financial literacy is accessible, approachable, and fun for every family.
Co-founded by two mothers and former attorneys, Nicolle Hood and Annie Shoen, My First Nest Egg was created to address the growing financial literacy crisis and the lack of age-appropriate tools for teaching money skills. The platform turns complex concepts into fun, bite-sized lessons through puzzles, stories, and psychology-backed tools that kids love.
“At My First Nest Egg, we’re on a mission to make financial education fun and accessible,” said Nicolle Hood, CEO of My First Nest Egg. “Chief Financial Credit Union’s dedication to being ‘More than Money’ shows in everything they do—including helping families build stronger financial futures from the start.”
In addition to this new partnership, Chief Financial received a Community Enrichment Grant from the Michigan Credit Union Foundation to support financial education programming and resources that uplift local families. It’s yet another step in the credit union’s long history of going beyond banking to serve, inspire, and connect.
