AmeriCU’s Maggie Pope Inducted into New York Credit Union Hall of Fame

PERU, NY – JULY 28, 2026: AmeriCU Credit Union proudly announces that Maggie Pope, AVP of Business and Member Relationship Development, was inducted into the 2026 Credit Union Hall of Fame by the New York Credit Union Association during their recent EXCEL 26 conference. The Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have devoted their lives to the philosophy and success of the credit union movement.

Maggie has dedicated more than 23 years to the credit union industry, building a reputation as a passionate advocate for members, employees and the communities she serves. Throughout her career, she has championed the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People,” helping expand financial access and strengthen community partnerships.

Prior to joining AmeriCU, Maggie served as CEO of Mountain Valley Federal Credit Union, where she led the organization through years of significant growth and service to its members and communities, culminating in its successful merger with AmeriCU Credit Union. She has also held numerous leadership positions within the New York Credit Union Association, including serving on its Board of Directors.
