ROME, NY – JULY 16, 2026: Throughout the second quarter of 2026, the AmeriCU Charitable Foundation continued to support communities across its footprint. From April through June, the Foundation supported over 50 organizations, participated in 78 community events, and contributed 528 volunteer hours, reflecting the continued commitment of both AmeriCU employees and the Foundation to the communities they serve.

AmeriCU's community involvement took many forms throughout the second quarter. Employees participated in hands-on volunteer opportunities during National Volunteer Week, including projects with A Tiny Home for Good, Earth Day cleanup at Proctor Park, and Zoo New York Beautification Project. Employees also welcomed home more than 80 veterans returning from Honor Flight Syracuse Mission 24.

In addition, the Foundation supported local organizations through sponsorships, scholarships, and donations, including initiatives benefiting the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County, local animal shelters, and students pursuing their educational goals.

"As we reflect on the first half of the year, I'm incredibly proud of the impact we've made alongside so many dedicated organizations across our communities," said Vanessa Szwejbka, AVP of Community Relations and Executive Director of the AmeriCU Charitable Foundation. "Supporting more than 125 organizations so far this year is a meaningful reminder that when we invest in our neighbors, we help strengthen the places where we all live, work, and play."

As the year continues, the AmeriCU Charitable Foundation remains committed to partnering with organizations and creating opportunities for employees to make a meaningful difference throughout the communities served by AmeriCU Credit Union.
