Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs Celebrates $1 Million Commitment from Fiserv

ATLANTA, GA, December 16, 2021 - The Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE), the largest nonprofit center for Black entrepreneurs and small business owners in the nation, has received a $1 million commitment from Fiserv, Inc. as part of the company’s commitment to supporting financial inclusion and entrepreneurship. Fiserv is a leading global provider of payments and financial services technology solutions with a significant presence in the Atlanta area. The multi-year commitment will fund state-of-the-art technology in the 150-seat Fiserv Symposium event and innovation space, and will help provide entrepreneurship programming through the RICE BIG Ideas Learning Continuum, enabling RICE to continue to grow and fulfill its mission. As part of the event, nine Atlanta small business owners who have benefitted from RICE programming and Fiserv support were recognized. RICE will begin its 2022 signature programming, the BIG Ideas Learning Continuum, in February with a goal of reaching 200 entrepreneurs by the end of 2022. RICE describes its dedicated offerings to black entrepreneurs as an economic mobility engine for the community: driving entrepreneurs and small business owners to innovate, grow, create jobs, and build wealth. It houses over 50,000 square feet of convening, meeting, and innovation space in a LEED Silver Certified building, brought to life by a robust offering of educational, networking, mentoring, and capital resources. Part business generator, innovation lab, and museum, RICE invests in Black entrepreneurs, strengthens businesses, and creates community.
