MSUFCU Employees Raise Over $51,000 for Charity Partners in Second Quarter

EAST LANSING, Mich. – MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) employees raised $51,647 for local organizations during the second quarter of 2022, bringing the total amount raised for their charity to $98,455.

As part of a yearlong charitable giving campaign, Credit Union employees select one charity partner per quarter to raise funds for. Throughout the second quarter of 2022, Love In Deed, was the charity partner of choice, receiving $43,470. Funds were raised through a variety of events including dress down days, online sales, and raffles.

Love In Deed’s mission is to support Michigan’s foster children by providing clothing, shoes, and other essential items for daily living at no cost to the foster families.

“We are overwhelmed and humbled by the incredible generosity of MSU Federal Credit Union employees during this second quarter charity partnership,” said Amy Heeschen, founder of Love In Deed. “The donated goods, as well as the financial support, will be used in multiple ways to further our mission of helping the children in foster care and their families throughout Mid-Michigan. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us to Love In Deed.”

During the second quarter of 2022, Credit Union employees raised an additional $8,177 for Capital Area United Way (CAUW). CAUW is the Credit Union’s ongoing charity partner, benefiting from funds each quarter.
