MSUFCU’s Chief Financial Officer Receives 2022 Outstanding Service Award

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Sara Dolan, MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) Chief Financial Officer, recently received the 2022 Outstanding Service Award by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Finance Council.


CUNA is a national association that advocates on behalf of all American credit unions by delivering support, professional growth, and operational confidence to credit union leaders.


The Outstanding Service Award recognizes a credit union leader who is dedicated to their credit union’s core values and provides exceptional support to their employees, members, and community.


“During a period of rapid changes and uncertainty, credit unions continued to deliver extraordinary service to their communities and members over the past year," said Brandon Smith, chair of the awards and recognition committee. "We are delighted to pay tribute to the leaders who rose to the task at hand to continue to drive our industry.”


Dolan, who joined MSUFCU in 2005, was honored for her leadership in the financial industry, having served as a mentor and supporter of her employees in the workplace. Additionally, she has devised and executed strategies and initiatives designed to help MSUFCU members achieve and maintain financial security.

Dolan has played a vital role in the launch of several MSUFCU products including its award-winning Savings BuilderSM account, which launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, the MSUFCU Visa Signature® Credit Card, and tap to pay technology on all MSUFCU Visa Credit and Debit Cards.


Beyond the workplace, Dolan is involved in the Greater Lansing and Michigan State University communities. She currently serves on the Michigan Electronic Recording Commission, McLaren Greater Lansing Foundation Board of Trustees, Delta Dental of Michigan Board of Directors, Renaissance Holding Company Board of Directors, Renaissance Health Services Corporation Board of Directors, The 4100 Group Board of Directors, and Trellance Data Advisory Committee.


Dolan was recognized for her achievements during the recent CUNA Finance Council Conference.
